Thank you for your interest in volunteering with For the Love of Dogs/Vermont Dog Rescue. Our accomplishments in dog rescue would not be possible without the dedication of our wonderful volunteers.
We are a shelterless rescue and, as such, most of our volunteers work from their homes. Our two most pressing needs are for Adoption Coordinators and Foster Care Providers. You can read more about becoming a Foster Care Provider and complete an application here.
Adoption Coordinators screen applications from individuals who are interested in adopting one of our rescues. Volunteers must be professional and must have the ability to judge the compatibility of an adopter and a dog. They must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
From time to time, we could use volunteers with specific qualifications. Such volunteers may be expert photographers, pet groomers, fundraisers, web designers, or the like.
If you think you can offer a specialized set of skills to assist in our efforts, be sure to indicate so on the application.
Applicants who meet the volunteer requirements in terms of skills and experience will undergo a thorough interview process that may involve a home visit.
