Adoption saves lives

If you're interested in learning more about any of these dogs, or know that you are ready to adopt, please complete the Adoption Application. An application must be on file to be considered for adoption.

Puppies have special needs and will only be placed in a home where they can be monitored often (they should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time). Please consider your time and space limitations before applying to adopt a puppy.

Unless otherwise noted: All our dogs have been fully vetted and spayed/neutered; all have tested heart worm–negative; all are currently awaiting rescue in Alabama, Georgia, or Tennessee, and, upon adoption approval, FLD/Vermont Dog Rescue will transport them to Vermont.

Puppies

These puppies are 17 weeks (DOB 3/4/19). All are spayed/neutered, great with other dogs and love to play, with typical puppy energy. Watch this video of Puppies on the Loose! and this video of Water Babies.

Tater — female

15 lbs (could reach ~25-30 lbs or larger)
Outgoing, sweet

Luna — Female

Yellow lab mix
20 lbs (could reach ~40 lbs or larger)
Bossiest of the bunch, fun-loving and active

Bingo — adoption pending

Black Lab mix
20 lbs (could reach ~40 lbs or larger), male
Shyest of the litter, laid back, likes to snuggle and give kisses
Quiet environment probably best

Rex — adoption pending

Min Pin and Dachshund Chihuahua mix
15 lbs (could reach ~25-30 lbs or larger), male
Very playful and can be bossy
Less active than twin Tater

Fred — male

Black Lab mix
20 lbs (could reach ~40 lbs or larger)
Leader of the pack, loves to romp and play, then will settle in to cuddle

Loves people and kids and has lots of energy; has been described as an exuberant cuddle-bug
She would be well-matched with an active person
Loves going on walks and hikes; enjoys swimming and being with her owners
Lacks consistent training but is a smart, wonderful dog if you spend the time to work with her

Cain

Terrier mix
2 1/2-3 yrs, 45 lbs, male
Up to date on shots, neutered
Very loving with people, great with kids, great with other dogs; has not been cat tested
High energy and would be a great running or walking partner
